Lawrence Chikwa, born in 1973 in Chingola, Zambia is a freelance conceptual artist based in Lusaka. His work draws from the social, religious and political aspects of life in Zambia. Since Lawrence began, in 1994, he has worked with as much as he can, from acrylic to ceramic to develop his own unique style of expression. In 2014 he displayed some of his work along side artists coming from twenty African nations at MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst & MMK Zollamt, Frankfurt
